Dr. Vaze's style of care is a very good example of excellent patient-centered care. During appointments with Dr. Vaze, I always felt heard, understood, and included in all decisions. I didn't feel rushed or ignored and my concerns felt acknowledged. As someone who spent years trying various medications for mood and anxiety without success, I was very shocked when Dr. Vaze first suggested a diagnosis of ADHD. ADHD never crossed my mind, and like most people, I had a preconceived notion of how ADHD manifests and was hesitant to agree my experiences aligned with my thoughts on ADHD. I really appreciate how we were able to spend time explaining and understanding the research behind ADHD and how the newer body of evidence has deepened our understanding of how it manifests in adults. The ADHD diagnoses and subsequent help have really made a huge difference in my life on a scale my previous treatments could never match. Dr. Vaze is great at listening, providing helpful resources, and following up with patients. Having been followed by various psychiatrists throughout the years, Dr. Vaze's care is without a doubt one best experiences I've had — the genuine care towards a patient's wellbeing is clear.

I am bipolar and have seen many psychiatrists over the years and some have been a waste of space. My partner is paranoid schizophrenic and also sees Dr Vaze. Dr Vaze is the best ever and in our opinion offers unparalleled service. He listens, informs and educates you on your medicines, why you are taking them and what the possible side effects may be. He also takes an interest in you as a person not just a patient. He will be sadly missed by both of us when he emigrates.

Profile

Having spent 4 amazing years working in a Tertiary level Mood and Anxiety Program in Ottawa, Canada, where I have learnt so much and more importantly have been moved by the warmth, humility and reilience of Canadians, I have bittersweet emotions of leaving Canada but moving back to the UK which was my home for about 20 years before that. I am hoping to use this additional experience during my future NHS and private Consultant Psychiatrist work in Adult ADHD and Mood disorders.
